Assmann Introduces the New, Smaller, Double Wall "Day" Tank that Provides Primary and Secondary Containment in One Unit

Assmann 150/250 plastic double wall day tanks provides primary and secondary containment in one integral space-saving unitNew, IMT 250/150 small, double wall “Day” tank system that provides primary and secondary containment in one integral space-saving unit is being introduced by Assmann Corporation.

Designed for storing hazardous and corrosive chemicals inside or outside, the IMT system consists of a primary inner tank and a secondary outer tank. The secondary outer tank has 120% capacity of the inner tank which exceeds EPA standards for secondary containment basins. Inner tank dome overlaps the outer tank’s sidewall, which prevents rain, snow and debris from entering the secondary containment tank.

The IMT 250/150 tank has a small footprint, making it ideal for tight manufacturing areas while a molded-in forklift provides access for easy relocation and movement. A molded-in, recessed pump shelf in the top of the primary tank contains small chemical spills and is designed for installing chemical pumps and metering equipment. A molded-in sump directly below the pump shelf, permits suction lines to be lowered onto the sump area, allowing for maximum drainage of chemicals with top discharge assemblies. The tank also features a recessed lower fitting flat that allows fittings to penetrate through the secondary containment wall and into the primary tank’s sump which allows full flooded suction for outlet assemblies.

Other features include a molded 7” threaded top access opening that is chemical resistant and fume tight. A 16” access opening with lever locking cover is optional.
